Can you use Myro with patients with cognitive impairments and / or neglect?

Yes. In addition to supporting hand and finger coordination and visuospatial exploration, Myro challenges multiple cognitive domains, including attention, memory, planning, and problem‑solving. Myro also offers specific options to engage and assess patients with neglect; for example, therapists can direct the patient’s focus to one or more quadrants of the interactive surface during a cognitive therapy game.

Can Myro be used for force control training?

Equipped with integrated force sensors, Myro can detect up to 30 kg (66 lbs) of force, including push and pull strength. It includes a Finger Grip Force Assessment with four different grip options, a Weight Assessment for gross upper‑extremity weight‑bearing, and gamified training applications for loading and unloading tasks that can detect both single and dual points of contact with the screen.

In which positions can Myro training be performed?

Myro is highly adjustable, allowing precise positioning from horizontal to vertical and adaptable height settings to support therapy in various patient positions.

Can everyday objects be integrated into Myro training?

Yes, Myro can detect multiple everyday objects simultaneously and includes accessories to support various grasp and movement patterns; further details are provided in the IFU.
