Tymo includes a standardized, guided 2-minute balance assessment consisting of four measurements performed with eyes open and closed on both firm and soft surfaces, allowing evaluation of the contribution of the visual, vestibular and somatosensory systems to postural control. The assessment results can be used to guide therapy in combination with the integrated gamification and real-time biofeedback.
Can Tymo only be used while standing?
Tymo is a versatile force plate that can be used for seated, standing, kneeling, or upper‑extremity weight‑bearing therapeutic interventions. It also includes a soft overlay pad and magnetic balance accessories, enabling a wide range of static and dynamic therapies targeting lower extremities, upper extremities, trunk, pelvis and balance.
What patient weight range is supported by Tymo?
Tymo has a maximum weight capacity of 180 kg (397 lbs) and can be used with patients in standing, seated, or upper‑extremity weight‑bearing positions while interacting with the software integrating real-time biofeedback. There is no minimum weight requirement to use Tymo.
