Andy’s Determined Journey Back to Independence

After a severe stroke affecting the left main cerebral artery, Andy was told he might never walk again.

Following emergency treatment, brain surgery, and months of recovery, even standing felt out of reach. Step by step, Andy fought his way back—driven by determination, strong family support, and a deeply personal goal: walking his daughter down the aisle.

During his intensive rehabilitation at MOTIONrehab, Andy trained with robot-assisted therapy using several Tyromotion rehabilitation devices. His therapy included the leg rehabilitation equipment Omego and gait trainer Lexo for lower extremity rehabilitation, the Diego robotic arm rehabilitation device, and balance training with the Tymo platform.

Game-based exercises, adaptive therapy sessions, and precise movement feedback helped retrain balance, coordination, and natural walking patterns. Each session was tailored to Andy’s daily condition—supporting progress while building confidence, mobility, and independence.
